Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two participants, typically wearing protective gloves and other safety gear, engage in a contest of strength, speed, and strategy by throwing punches at each other within a defined area known as a ring. The objective is to score points by landing punches on the opponent or to knock the opponent out, rendering them unable to continue the match. Boxing matches are usually governed by a set of rules, with rounds of a specified duration, and can be judged based on points scored for clean hits or by achieving a knockout. The sport has a rich history and is recognized both as a professional competition and as an amateur pursuit, with international governing bodies that oversee regulations and sanction events.
